Job Site Inspection......
The purpose of a site inspection is to ensure the renter and the rental company the
tent ordered will fit the renter's needs (and space) prior to arrival at the site. It also
ensures the safety of the tent erection crews and the tent renter, before a tent can
be erected the following conditions must be determined (either by the rental
company or the renter):

1.) LOCATION - After the desired tent location is selected, the proper tent size and
style (pole tent vs. frame tent) must be determined.
a. The minimum area required for a pole tent is 12' in length and width more than
the actual tent size. This allows at least 6' around all sides for staking. (Example: a
20x30 Pole Tent requires a minimum space of 32' x 42')
b. The minimum area required for a frame tent is 1' around the perimeter when
staking and 6' when using water barrels. (Example: a 20x30 Frame Tent requires a
minimum space of 21' x 31')
2.) UNDERGROUND - It is the renter's responsibility to locate all possible
underground utilities that could be located in or around the desired
tent location.
a. Utilities could include, but not limited to water, gas, electric, telephone, sewage,
sprinkler systems, etc.
b. If any utilities lay underground of the specified area, THEY MUST BE MARKED
BY THE TENT RENTER.
c.
If you have any doubts or questions about any underground utilities, contact the
local (or state) Utilities Protection Service. The Ohio Utilities Protection Service
(OUPS) can be reached at
1-800-362-2764. OUPS requires a minimum of 48 hours
notice to locate and mark all underground utilities.
3.) OVERHEAD - Visually check the specified area for any and all overhead
obstructions that could possibly be in the area of the erected tent top.
a. This includes tree limbs, branches, basketball rims, power lines, etc.
b. Tent height information can be received from Premier Tent & Event.
4.) SURFACE - Surface is also an important issue in determining the proper type of
anchor. Listed below are the 3 main types of surface conditions and the standard
methods of anchoring.
a. Grass Staked
b. Asphalt Staked or Water Barrels
c. Concrete Staked or Water Barrels or Concrete Anchors
(Asphalt plugs and concrete patch is available to replace holes)
(Pole Tents must be Staked)

PLEASE NOTE: All tents are meant as temporary shelter and must be evacuated
under extreme weather conditions. Tents are NOT guaranteed, 100% waterproof.
